WHAT IS SPACE APPS?

The International NASA Space Apps Challenge is a two-day hackathon held at PeopleSpace where teams of technologists, scientists, designers, artists, educators, entrepreneurs, developers and students across the globe collaborate and engage with publicly available data to design innovative solutions for global challenges.

IRVINE SPACE APPS 2015!!!

You are invited to the NASA International Space Apps challenge on the 11th - 12th of April 2015!! it is free and open to the public!

The event embraces collaborative problem solving on a global scale with a goal of producing relevant open-source solutions to address needs applicable to both life on earth and life in space.

The idea of a challenge is so compelling because it acknowledges the fact that the world is facing critical challenges - and that we all have to work together to approach them.  While there may be prospective prizes offered for outstanding solutions, we are focused on enabling 48 hours of highly engaged collaboration- and discovering what we can create when that happens.

The challenges themselves may ask for any number of skill sets but has a strong leaning for technologists and developers.

NASA educates and empowers students to acquire knowledge and skills in the disciplines of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, by way of thinking boldly, taking initiative and acting globally. this landmark event is principally intended for the benefit of anyone wishing to fulfilling their academic and career aspirations as in science and engineering.

Registration will open on March the 2nd. to register go tohttps://2015.spaceappschallenge.org. this is through the official NASA website.

NASA space apps will release 25 challenges on March the 11th and can be accessed in the tab above. once these challenges are released we ask you to familiarize yourself with them and determine with which your skill set and interest will benefit.

If you are certain which you want to do a project before the space apps weekend, organize a team and set up your project and get everyone in your team to join.

There will be awesome prizes on the day so consider impact, sustainability, creativity, relevance, and of course your final presentation.
